Governance and Quality

Robust Corporate Governance Framework

At Certis Security Australia, we understand that good corporate governance requires a framework of rules, relationships, practices, processes and systems. This is governed by our board of directors, who ensure our corporate culture is aligned to our vision, mission and values.  They monitor our organisation’s performance with the help of our senior leadership team, working together to make informed decisions.

Our governance includes various elements, such as our Integrated Assurance Framework, which ensures that our risk management is proactive and has layers of defence, including financial audits, a compliance team independent from operations, a whistleblowing program manned by an external law firm, a modern slavery program to monitor our supply chain, and the documentation of our policy and procedures through our Quality Management System.

Whistleblowing Channel

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethics when dealing with our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

The Certis Security Australia Whistleblowing Channel is an independent channel that allows employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any suspected or actual fraud, corruption, illegal acts or unethical practices by employees and personnel of Certis Security Australia, in good faith, for appropriate investigation and action subject to applicable laws.

The service is managed by FCB Workplace Law – an independent, trusted and secure external legal firm. To make a report, please click here.

Certified Quality Management Systems

At Certis Security Australia, we deliver quality services and innovative security solutions, consistent with our customers’ expectations. We have maintained a certified Quality Management System for almost 25 years (since 1997) and understand that our Quality Management framework is key to delivering a quality service.  We ensure that our Quality Management System remains effective through control, measurement, review, and improvement initiatives. Control and measurement are accomplished through routine systematic reviews and audits of the quality management system. Reviews and improvement detail how the results of a review or audit are handled. The goal is to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of each process toward Certis Security Australia's objectives, to communicate these findings, and to develop new best practices based on the data collected.

Our Company Values support our employees to take initiative, acknowledge effort and encourage them to realise their personal and company goals. We conduct our business as a responsible and ethical member of our community.

We monitor our systems through internal and external audits. Any deficiencies identified are discussed with the relevant manager and are added to our Corrective Action Database. Corrective actions carry a KPI in relation to timely completion and closure – our National Quality Manager works closely with managers to facilitate this.

The Certis Security Australia Quality Management System applies to the full range of security company services and activities in all locations and is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
