Brett Pickens

Chief Executive

Brett Pickens is Chief Executive, Certis Australia. He works together with the senior leadership team in Australia and Singapore to steer business strategy and drive continued transformation for Certis Australia. 

Brett has held leadership roles with ISS, Wilson and Securitas, and brings with him a wealth of experience in the Business-to-Business service sector. He also has a strong foundation in sales and commercial management across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, helming roles such as Chief Commercial Officer. 

Thriving on innovation, Brett has experience in deploying technology solutions, including IoT and big data, to deliver competitive advantages for the organisations that he has worked for.

Tony Ursini

Chief Financial Officer

Tony Ursini is Chief Financial Officer at Certis Australia. He is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience in senior roles across retail, multi-site, and facilities management sectors in Australia and North America. His extensive career includes leadership positions at Myer, the Coles Group, City Facilities Management and Equans ANZ.

Tony leads Certis’ finance functions, driving strategic alignment, financial compliance, resource optimisation, and cost management to support the company’s operational and growth objectives. As part of Certis Australia’s Executive Leadership Team, Tony ensures financial excellence while upholding service quality and compliance standards

Bridie Thomas

Chief Operating Officer

Bridie Thomas is Chief Operating Officer for Certis Australia. As a key member of the Australian Executive Committee, Bridie works with the senior leadership team to drive our company’s oldest division to even greater success.  

Her impressive career in the Australian security industry includes senior leadership roles with Southern Cross Protection, Sapio and PAYCE Security Group, along with 15 years’ experience in acquisitions and engagement. 

Bridie’s wealth of experience in operations and generalist management, along with her strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of the corporate environment, make her an invaluable part of the senior leadership team. 

Darryl Prince

Senior Vice President of People & Transformation

Darryl Prince is Senior Vice President of People and Transformation, Certis Australia. He works with the senior leadership teams in Australia and Singapore to build on core people processes across the market, significantly contributing to Certis growth and success.  

Darryl’s extensive background in human resources, learning and development and senior stakeholder management has included roles in service organisations including Accor, Sheraton and the Four Seasons Hotel group within the Pacific region. He has a wealth of experience driving people-centric culture and transformation initiatives over the past 17 years in senior leadership roles with ISS in Australia, Asia and Europe. 

Christina Rose

Vice President, Regulatory Compliance & Critical Infrastructure

Christina (Tina) Rose is Vice President, Regulatory Compliance & Critical Infrastructure at Certis Australia. Tina is a seasoned security professional with over a twenty years of expertise in aviation and transport security and brings a wealth of experience in managing complex security operations and providing strategic advisory functions.

Tina’s aviation career began in the Australian Government, where she held several pivotal leadership positions, leading on the paradigm shift in national aviation security training and including the role of Assistant Director within the Infrastructure Policy Development Unit working in collaboration with the Bureau of Transport Research and Economics on the future of transport in Australia. Tina also acted as Director of the Aviation Security Policy Section and held responsibility for various Australian Government aviation initiatives. Her deep understanding of the security landscape and leadership capabilities have earned her a strong reputation within the industry.

This appointment marks Tina’s return to Certis, where she previously served as an Aviation Executive from 2018 to 2022. Most recently, she held the role of Manager of Security Operations and Advisory at the Qantas Group wherein she was responsible for the global Duty Security Controller function in addition to jurisdictional regulatory airline security compliance across the North American; Pacific and Southeast Asian regions. 

Brett McDonald

Vice President, Integrated Solutions

Brett McDonald is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience in managing complex projects and digital transformations. His expertise lies in designing innovative solutions and implementing emerging technologies, and has led high-profile security projects for clients like Victoria Police, AusNet Services, and the Department of Health.

Brett excels in aligning technology with operational outcomes and has a deep understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance. His experience in delivering integrated solutions makes him a key asset to Certis’ efforts in driving security enhancements across major operations.

Sarah Edwards

Head of Legal and Compliance

Sarah Edwards is Head of Legal and Compliance, Certis Australia. She works with the senior leadership teams in Australia and Singapore to support strategic objectives and business transformation.  

Sarah is an accomplished lawyer and commercially oriented legal executive with more than 20 years of experience in the Australian legal field. She started her career in a top tier law firm and held in-house legal positions in various industries including motor vehicle distribution, pharmaceuticals, fleet leasing and food franchising. Sarah has extensive expertise in corporate and commercial, technology, competition and consumer law, as well as privacy, intellectual property, general employment and compliance and risk management. 

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of Technology Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law Sydney. She has been admitted to NSW Supreme Court, is entered in the High Court Register of Practitioners, holds an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate (Corporate) and Certificate in Governance Practice & Administration from Chartered Secretaries Australia.
