Brett Pickens is Chief Executive, Certis Australia. He works together with the senior leadership team in Australia and Singapore to steer business strategy and drive continued transformation for Certis Australia.
Brett has held leadership roles with ISS, Wilson and Securitas, and brings with him a wealth of experience in the Business-to-Business service sector. He also has a strong foundation in sales and commercial management across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, helming roles such as Chief Commercial Officer.
Thriving on innovation, Brett has experience in deploying technology solutions, including IoT and big data, to deliver competitive advantages for the organisations that he has worked for.
Murray King is concurrently Chief Corporate Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Certis Security Australia. He manages all corporate and financial affairs of our Australian business and is leading the organisation forward with our Purpose of making our world safer, smarter, better.
Prior to joining Certis in 2023, Murray held key leadership positions focused on finance and operational performance in telecommunications companies including Optus and Virgin Mobile, as well as in technology companies such as Mincom Limited.
Murray’s expertise in accounting, corporate finance and audit began in multinational firms Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queensland University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Ying Loong Lee is Chief Operating Officer at Certis Security Australia, he works closely with the operations team providing strategic leadership and guidance.
Ying Loong has extensive expertise in the development and implementation of advanced Ops-Tech solutions, facilitating a number of successful projects across Singapore and Australia, including one for Sydney Trains. He is a strong advocate for the role technology can play in modern security solutions, and his passion extends to the entire Certis Security Australia team.
Ying Loong is a gadget geek and loves interacting with new technologies, particularly if they help foster efficiencies among our customers’ operational needs. Ying Loong has a Master in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College in London, UK.

Sam La Spina is General Manager, Human Resources, at Certis Security Australia. He’s a twenty-year veteran of the HR industry, and intuitively understands how to build organisational capability in large, complex and geographically diverse companies.
He’s worked in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Qatar supporting oil and gas industries, in addition to state government rail, power generation, commercial aviation, telecommunications and financial services sectors.
Sam’s strengths are diverse. He’s adept at delivering deep people and culture programs, as well as using analytics to improve employee engagement. Sam is an effective communicator and has the ability to influence all parts of the organisation through his HR strategies.
Before joining Certis Security Australia, Sam has held positions including senior HR Specialist at the Ministry of Development, Planning and Statistics, Doha, Qatar; HR Manager Asia Pacific at AGR, and Senior HR Advisor, State Rail Authority, NSW, Australia.
Sam holds a Master of Science, Human Resources Management and Development (International) from the University of Manchester, and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management, from RMIT in Australia.
Chun Lum is the General Manager of Information Technology for Certis Security Australia. Chun has over 20 years of experience as CIO/CTO/Head of IT, delivering strategies, application development, product innovation, process digitalisation and IT operations.
Chun has worked in various multi-national and start-ups ranging from industries dealing with fintech, banking, human resources, manufacturing and SAAS product provider.
Chun holds a Masters of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Computing and Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
Tamara Bayly is GM and Head of Compliance at Certis Security Australia. She has over 18 years experience in the security industry, and is responsible for managing the regulatory compliance framework for Certis Security Australia.
Through the design and implementation of internal practices and controls, Tamara guides Certis Security Australia’s compliance efforts and also liaises with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
Prior to joining Certis Security Australia, Tamara was an officer with the Queensland Police. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, Masters of Security Management, a Bachelor of Science (Security) Diploma of Management, and is a Certified Lead Auditor.
Scott Nelson is General Manager, Head of Protective Services for Certis Security Australia.
Championing a service-driven culture across our Australia business, Scott leads our national Protective Services division and is constantly striving for improvement. He is committed to our Certis Purpose of making our world safer, smarter, better, and looks to reinforce Certis' reputation as an employer of choice in Australia.
Scott brings with him over 20 years of experience as a security professional. Having climbed the ranks in leading Australian security firms, through frontline deployments and taking charge of large-scale projects, Scott has honed his skills in leadership and business management. His in-depth knowledge of contract management and service delivery has enabled him to collaborate effectively with clients to improve security outcomes and achieve quality results.
