Overseeing part of Certis’ operations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and managing a team of 1,500 personnel during the most watched event of the year was something Jackson never imagined he would be part of. However, his dedication and expertise paved the way for an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.
From Military Experience to Leadership Role
Before joining Certis, Jackson gained valuable skills and experience as a regular in the Singapore Armed Forces. Since joining the team, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership when working with stakeholders across multiple business units and customers.
Where Ambition Meets Opportunity
In 2022, Jackson was eager to push his learning curve, and explore possibilities of expanding his horizons within Certis through job rotations. After discussing the opportunity, he eagerly expressed his interest and seized the chance to expand his experience by applying for another role in a different business unit.
From starting out as an Operations Manager at Changi Airport, Jackson got plenty of opportunities to take on different responsibilities, such as organising events, being a night chairman, be the lead security commander for the grand opening of Jewel Changi Airport, to name a few. His achievements at Certis Aviation Services, gained him recognition, and he was one of the first few personnel to be transferred to Certis Land Services, where he was involved in the planning of the decentralised operations deployment during the pandemic.
Adding on to his achievements, Jackson’s excellence in his work earned him recognition from senior leaders – the Managing Director of Certis’ Qatar business unit personally reached out to him and invited him to work in Qatar, which Jackson gratefully accepted.
