Certis started as a Guard & Escort Unit under the Singapore Police Force, which was separated from the SPF as the Commercial and Industrial Security Corporation (CISCO) in 1972 as a statutory board.

In 2005, we were corporatised as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings and were subsequently rebranded as Certis CISCO Security on 13 September 2007.
We continue to the leading physical security provider in Singapore that secures key installations and the key player in Singapore’s cash ecosystem.
2010
Established new non-security businesses including one-stop business process outsourcing and human resource services to our clientele. Its professional suite of services includes manpower consulting, analysis, planning, implementation and management of human resources, transition management, operations and processes.

Guided by design thinking, we adopt a problem-solving approach to optimum solutions with the intelligent use of technology, leveraging the deep experience of our talent and our disciplined and robust operational processes to our clients’ benefit.
The BPRO® Command Centre offers decentralised cells so that they benefit from streamlined processes tailored to its sites while staying connected to our mainframe through an alert system that notifies the team whenever an incident arises.

By tapping on IoT sensors and devices, cloud processing, big data and AI, we enable facility owners to centrally manage and integrate building operations for optimal energy consumption as well as improved physical security, maintenance, health and safety, space, and tenant services. We integrate customer service and security operations with facility management and enables next-generation visitor concierge with cognitive capabilities.

Certis Centre for Applied Intelligence serves as a research hub that harnesses deep research capabilities globally to develop cutting-edge AI-enabled solutions that can be operationalised to benefit businesses and society, and drive tech-led transformation. It enables Certis to build up AI expertise and resources to operationalise AI in the area of multi-disciplinary security and integrated service.

As the first of its kind for the security industry in Asia, Certis Corporate University is established to equip Certis with the relevant knowledge and skillsets to be ready for Industry 4.0. Employees benefit from courses covering the use of design thinking, applied innovation and digitalisation skills in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, robotics and automation.
