SNP Security, the aviation arm of Certis Security Australia, delivered capacity training to the team at the President Nicolau Lobato International Airport – East Timor, Dili in October. The training was in conjunction with the Aviation and Maritime Security Division (Department of Home Affairs) and was an extension to the basic training initiated in May 2019. The training focused on the practical applications of skills, development of aviation security leaders and introduction to aviation security systems testing.
A total of 25 airport employees participated as part of an Australian Government initiative to enhance their aviation screening capabilities and develop employees to interdict security threats to those travelling to and from Timor Leste. As a key northern neighbour to Australia and one with direct flights to Australia, they are a key partner in keeping our skies safe together.
SNP has had a long and rich history in the Aviation sector with over 50 years’ experience in providing Aviation security in Australia. SNP Security has been involved in supporting the delivery of regional capacity building on the request of the Government for several years, and Certis Security Australia is pleased to continue the partnership with the Government to ensure our neighbouring countries deliver best practice aviation security.
