February 10 was a night to remember as members of our Certis Security Australia team attended the Monash Children’s Hospital Gala, a fundraising event that aims to make a difference for Victorian families, ensuring that babies born prematurely can receive the necessary care and support at birth and not only survive, but thrive.
Crucial funds raised from the event go straight to programs including the Stem Cell Therapies Research Program, investing in world-leading cell therapies for premature babies in Monash Children’s Hospital’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Returning after a two-year break, the Gala was a huge success for Monash Children’s Hospital and the Monash Health Foundation, with a grand total of $1,270,000 raised. Thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors including Certis Security Australia, this surpassed the fundraising target of $1,000,000.
Our team is honoured to have been part of the event, where we got to learn about the life-saving treatments it supports and enjoy the night’s entertainment, which featured silent and live auctions and musical acts including First Nations artists Mitch Tambo and Isaiah Firebrace, and Former Australian of the Year Lee Kernaghan.
