SINGAPORE, 31 JULY 2026 – Jointly developed by Certis and Lendlease, Paya Lebar Green (PLG) is pleased to be recognised as a Winner of the Building Project Leadership in Sustainability Award, for its excellence under the Intelligent Building sub-category.
Co-organised by the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the biennial Leadership in Sustainability Awards is one of Singapore’s most prestigious industry accolades for sustainability leadership in the built environment that acknowledges organisations and projects that are setting new benchmarks in sustainable development.
The accolade awarded to PLG is presented to building projects with the best-in-class smart building management, digital connectivity, and operational intelligence. This reflects the growing role of intelligent building strategies in driving sustainable outcomes and creating healthier, more productive workplaces.
As one of the greenest and smartest workplaces in Singapore, PLG brings together innovation, technology and user-centric design to deliver long-term sustainable solutions that prioritise environmental performance, operational efficiency and occupant well-being. This is brought to life through key features such as:
- A Building Performance Optimisation Platform that uses machine learning and real-time data from the Building Management System, sensors and lighting systems to continuously monitor and optimise building performance.
- A Tenant Power Management System that enables occupants to monitor and manage their own energy consumption in real-time and transparently to encourage proactive and responsible use.
- Digital connectivity validated by WiredScore certifications, the global benchmark for real estate technology.
- Operational energy performance driven by rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, high-efficiency dual-temperature chiller plant and a hybrid cooling system. PLG is the first operational building in Singapore to implement the hybrid cooling system.
The award also strengthens PLG’s growing repertoire of sustainability achievements. The building is the first office development in Singapore to achieve BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certification under the 2021 scheme, and attaining all five sustainability badges – Health and Wellbeing, Whole of Life Carbon, Resilience, Intelligence, and Maintainability.
