Over 3,000 key professionals from the security sector gathered at Marina Bay Sands on 4 & 5 December for the inaugural Counter-Terror Asia Expo (CTAX) 2018 event.

The CTAX 2018 event showcased a wide-range of technology, equipment and solutions designed to protect nations, companies and individuals from security threats.

Counter Terror Asia Conference (CTAC) as the premier security conference, hosted more than 10 international speakers from counter terrorism, law enforcement and corporate security end users.

Certis’ shared with event guests the latest technological solutions, demonstrating how technology could augment our strong physical security expertise as an advanced integrated security services provider.

Evolv Edge, the first integrated security screening solution that harnesses advanced facial recognition technology in Singapore, were among the technological solutions on display at the event.

Evolv Edge was deployed ‘live’ at the entrance of the event hall where it scanned up to 900 visitors per hour without the need for the visitors to remove outerwear or empty pockets. It also simultaneously detected firearm and explosives that pose mass casualty threats. Although there was a high volume of human traffic, visitor experience was not compromised, but instead their experience were enhanced with an added layer of security.

Fong Ying Ching, Vice President, Head, Certis Technology International said, “The ‘live’ deployment of Evolv Edge at CTAX demonstrates our ability to utilise technology to drive operational efficiencies, deliver business-critical outcomes and protect companies and individuals from potential security threats.”
