On 24 September 2018, Certis, a leading advanced integrated security services organisation, officially became the proud holder of the Singapore record for the “Largest Rubik’s Cube Training Workshop”.
Held at the Lifelong Learning Institute in Singapore, the annual workshop organised by Certis saw more than 200 employees in attendance, successfully setting the record and officially entering Certis into the Singapore Book of Records.
As part of the Certis Service Delivery System (CSDS) framework, participants were first given a job breakdown sheet which is a step-by-step guide to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The CSDS framework adopts a three-pronged approach that was demonstrated in solving the Rubik’s Cube. This included in-class training to impart knowledge “Skillset” to participants on how to solve a Rubik’s Cube, the provided Rubik’s Cube job breakdown sheet as the “Toolset” and encouragement from facilitators to inculcate “Mindset”.
As a result, more than 80% of the participants were able to solve their very first Rubik’s Cube within 30 minutes.
Introduced in 2008, CSDS is part of Certis’ quality excellence towards consistency in service delivery and excellence in service quality. A system-based approach leveraging on best practices from world-class organisations, CSDS focuses on developing ordinary people to produce extraordinary results.
