Certis Technology Showcases Smart Technology Powered by Artificial Intelligence

Certis Technology (Singapore) was a proud exhibitor at the XXI World Congress on Safety & Health at the Workplace hosted by the Ministry of Manpower from 4 – 6 September 2017.

During this three-day exhibition, Certis showcased a series of advanced technology, aided by right-fit Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), designed to create a safer workplace. This innovative use of Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing technology enables more efficient operations, greater business insights and enhances productivity.

Enhancing Workplace Safety with Certis’ Artificial Intelligence Solution

  1. Detect when workers are not wearing their safety vest or helmet and send an alert back to a central monitoring system for follow-up action
  2. Leverage facial recognition technology to scan for faces that do not belong to a pre-approved list of individuals, thereby limiting the possibility of unwanted intrusions
  3. Use object-detection technology to detect and locate safety items, such as a fire extinguisher or first aid box, in a matter of seconds, faster than any human

Apart from potentially helping to reduce the number of workplace safety incidents, the system could help to cut down time needed to locate safety-related items, and also allows for remote monitoring by construction site supervisors.

Ultimately, Certis recognises changes in industry trends, and will continue to leverage ever-evolving technology to build and support a smart city and smart nation.
