COVID-19 is the defining challenge of our generation and we are coming together to overcome this pandemic.

Certis is dedicating its resources to fight the pandemic through these 3 key initiatives so that we may all emerge stronger when this is over.

Protecting the community

Certis is fighting on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the community and aiding essential workers to safely perform their duties.

We work round the clock to contain the spread by enforcing control measurements including safe distancing, movement restrictions, mobile patrols and temperature screenings. In Singapore, we work closely with the Government in national efforts against COVID-19, such as the issuance and enforcement of quarantine orders, securing Government quarantine facilities, healthcare support services and conducting site inspection of foreign worker dormitories.

Caring for our employees

A task-force was set up right at the beginning to implement relevant policies that ensures the well-being of employees. This includes the distribution of 86,000 care packs, development of health status monitoring mobile app, and para-counselling teams to provide all-rounded support.

An employee-led initiative #CertisUnited was also launched to manage employees’ physical, mental and social well-being. From live streaming of fitness sessions, to sharing of cooking recipes, online contests and many other virtual engagement activities, employees continued to stay connected with one another during these challenging times.

Keeping our staff safe also means protecting jobs. We introduced reskilling programmes to facilitate retention and redeployment plans. One such initiative saw the reskilled aviation security officers being deployed to over 800 roles in the non-aviation sectors that are of greater need of manpower.

Helping the less fortunate

As COVID-19 continues to disrupt lives and livelihoods, Certis remains committed to helping the community through our Corporate Social Responsibility projects.

Certis is focused on helping disadvantaged children and youth as well as people with disabilities during this pandemic. We believe that they should not be denied the means to protect themselves to stay healthy in this difficult period.

This includes the donation of 500 care packs to beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and raising $15,000 to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore via our virtual run fundraiser.

Even as we continue to work apart, we stand steadfast in supporting the community by organising virtual activities such as fitness sessions to raise funds for Boys’ Town, and sing-along sessions to bring joy to beneficiaries of MINDS.
