About Certis

1958 - The Beginning

Certis started as a Guard & Escort Unit under the Singapore Police Force, which was separated from the SPF as the Commercial and Industrial Security Corporation (CISCO) in 1972 as a statutory board.

2006 - Applying M³ & Inventing Operations-Technology

Comprehensive array of technology-based security solutions based on deploying well-trained personnel (Man), together with best-fit technology (Machine) and well-proven work process (Method).

Known as M³, this holistic approach towards our security business is firmly supported by a 24/7 Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) where technology is used extensively to monitor and control all day-to-day operations.

2007 - Forging ahead

In 2005, we were corporatised as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings and were subsequently rebranded as Certis CISCO Security on 13 September 2007.

We continue to the leading physical security provider in Singapore that secures key installations and the key player in Singapore’s cash ecosystem.

2010 - Breaking New Grounds

Established new non-security businesses including one-stop business process outsourcing and human resource services to our clientele. Its professional suite of services includes manpower consulting, analysis, planning, implementation and management of human resources, transition management, operations and processes.

2015 - Deployed first BPRO^® project with major Retail Mall operator

Guided by design thinking, we adopt a problem-solving approach to optimum solutions with the intelligent use of technology, leveraging the deep experience of our talent and our disciplined and robust operational processes to our clients’ benefit.

The BPRO^® Command Centre offers decentralised cells so that they benefit from streamlined processes tailored to its sites while staying connected to our mainframe through an alert system that notifies the team whenever an incident arises.

2017 - Launch of Integrated Facilities Management

By tapping on IoT sensors and devices, cloud processing, big data and AI, we enable facility owners to centrally manage and integrate building operations for optimal energy consumption as well as improved physical security, maintenance, health and safety, space, and tenant services. We integrate customer service and security operations with facility management and enables next-generation visitor concierge with cognitive capabilities.

2018 - Unlocking New Possibilities with Security+

Certis’ Security+ combines three key components — advanced security, facilities management, and guest services — which are seamlessly integrated into a single holistic service, underpinned by technology, proprietary applications and a talented team.

2018 - Delivering efficient outcomes at Certis Living Lab

Certis Living Lab operationalises new technology in a "live" environment and is built on a "Digital Twin" framework that leverages the convergence of physical and digital capabilities to improve operational efficiency, drive process optimisation, and enhance service excellence.

2019 - Cutting-Edge Artificial Intelligence Research at Certis Centre for Applied Intelligence

Certis Centre for Applied Intelligence serves as a research hub that harnesses deep research capabilities globally to develop cutting-edge AI-enabled solutions that can be operationalised to benefit businesses and society, and drive tech-led transformation. It enables Certis to build up AI expertise and resources to operationalise AI in the area of multi-disciplinary security and integrated service.

2020 - Building Future-Ready Workforce at Certis Corporate University

As the first of its kind for the security industry in Asia, Certis Corporate University is established to equip Certis with the relevant knowledge and skillsets to be ready for Industry 4.0. Employees benefit from courses covering the use of design thinking, applied innovation and digitalisation skills in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, robotics and automation.

2020 - Next-Gen Security with Smart Networked Security

Smart Networked Security is part of Certis’ Security+ offering which combines advanced security and customer service into a single holistic service that is underpinned by technology. It gives businesses a much-needed bird’s eye view of their operations by harnessing real-time data insights for greater efficiency and faster response time. Powered by Mozart, an AI multi-service orchestration platform built by Certis, Smart Networked Security integrates data from video analytics and IoT sensors to be transmitted to the Smart Command Operations Centre in real-time.

2021 - The Certis Experience

Tech-powered executive briefing centre launched amid the pandemic to enable business leaders and executives to experience critical solutions for their organisations. The Certis Experience hosts digital explorations through a 270-degree screen for an immersive experience and offers interactive virtual tours amidst COVID-19’s low-touch economy.
