Wallace, Certis’s AI-powered autonomous security robot, is now in live operation, running scheduled patrols, detecting anomalies and relaying live updates to Certis command centres. The deployment comes as Singapore’s security sector continues to face manpower constraints and an ageing workforce. From robot patrol to real-time security intelligence
Wallace is an autonomous mobile robot built for mixed indoor and outdoor patrol routes, including business parks, commercial precincts, carparks, building perimeters and other large sites. With 360-degree panoramic vision, LiDAR-based autonomous navigation and thermal sensing, it can maintain day-and-night awareness while moving safely through live operating environments.
On patrols, Wallace can flag unattended items and detect people or heat signatures in low-light conditions. Configurable analytics can also identify flames and abnormal heat from equipment, helping teams surface potential fire or safety risks before they escalate. When an event is detected, Wallace captures evidence and sends real-time alerts and situational information to operators for assessment.
Operational continuity is built into the design. Wallace offers 8 to 12 hours of patrol endurance per charge, is IP55-rated for outdoor conditions, and returns autonomously to its wireless charging station when power runs low. After charging, it can resume patrol without manual handling, sustaining coverage during long shifts and quieter hours.
