Sharing Festive Cheers

The Special Children’s Christmas Party helps the most vulnerable kids have something to smile about at the end of the year and forget about their daily challenges. During pre-Covid times, the initiative was the largest party in Australia,  but today the program is committed to delivering 8,000 toys to special children across NSW.

In 2021, we were delighted to get the opportunity to support this great cause. As part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, members of our senior leadership and management team volunteered their time to help personally deliver 126 bags of gifts to the children at Fowler Road Special School in Merrylands, Sydney.

Raising Funds to Empower the Youth

The Smith Family

With 1 in 6 Australian children growing up in disadvantaged situations, the Smith Family Challenge aims at breaking that cycle. The annual event raises funds to empower these children by providing them with opportunities, support, and the tools to pursue an education.

The Smith Family Challenge is a cause close to our heart - we've have been raising funds since 2009. Through this CSR initiative, in total, Certis Security Australia have raised over $165,000.

Giving Back to Our Community

Ronald McDonald House aims to keep families together when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness. By providing a home-away-from-home, families can be close to their child throughout their treatments. It is our corporate responsibility to provide a secure environment for the communities we're in, by giving them a greater peace of mind.

Every month, Certis Security Australia volunteers at the Ronald McDonald Newcastle House to prepare a home-cooked meal for the families at the House, enabling them to spend more time with their children.

Supporting Vulnerable Families and Communities

The belief that everyone should have access to health and education in order achieve their full potential saw us partner Royal Far West to provide country children with access to paediatric healthcare and special education services through the Telecare Scholarship Program.

Engage & Empower People with Disabilities

Certis’s Breaking Barriers initiative is about engaging and empowering people with disabilities through virtual engagement activities and employment opportunities. As part of this programme, Certis employees globally, organised a Zoom fitness exercise session with SPD (formerly known as the Society for the Physically Disabled) in Singapore.

Virtual fitness sessions help to boost SPD beneficiaries’ spirits and engages them especially during COVID-19, with safe distancing measures in place.
